Michigan is one of the states in USA where you can find all sorts of facilities to spend your vacations in grand style. Apart from hotels, restaurants, attractions, you can find some amazing facilities pertaining to transportation. Transportation to get to and move in the state is highly sophisticated.

Getting to the state from different countries takes different time. For instance, you can get in there in 7 hours 30 minutes from London. However, it doest take long to get to the state from other cities of the country. It takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes while coming from New York. Detroit Metro (DTW) is the major airport that can be used to come to this state.

However, you can also use trains to come to this sate as Amtrak Michigan Services can be used for this matter. Along with this, Greyhound buses can also be used to come by road. Finally, you can choose to come on your own by driving your own car. When you will be in the state, you can easily use buses and taxis to travel to different locations. One of the Midwestern states is known as Michigan. According to United States Census Bureau, it is located in the east north central states. This state is named after the Lake Michigan which means “Large Water”. Because it is surrounded by the four lakes, so, it is also considered to be the longest shoreline of fresh water in the world. It is because of this fact that you can see so many people coming to this place to take part in tourism and recreational activities. It is essential to mention that Michigan is the 3rd state having the most number of registered recreational boats.

Between 82°30′ to about 90°30′ West longitude, you can find two peninsulas in Michigan, i.e. the Upper Peninsula and the Lower Peninsula. Lansing is the capital of the state of Michigan and Detroit is the largest city. It has an area of 97,990 sq mi which is considered as the 11th largest in USA.

Because of some amazing lakes and other such attractions, heaps of people come to this region to spend their vacations. Museums can be found on more regular basis in here. So, because of these factors, tourism in Michigan is really one of the progressive industries.
