Detroit Lions - The Road Ahead
Detroit Lions - This Detroit (Michigan) based American football team is playing from the 1930. The team is a member of the NFC (National Football Conference) North Division on the NFL (National Football League). They do play their home games at Ford Field, Detroit downtown. In the beginning, team was known as the Portsmouth Spartans since they began playing in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1929. They begun as an independent professional American football team, one among such teams in the Scioto and Ohio river valleys. Later, in 1930 they joined in the NFL and so the official name got changed.
